Why are you taking off the negative comments about Alex then? The problem with you lot is thta you want to wrap him up in cotton wool and pretend that he's a world beater. Evidence points to that he isn't, so maybe by keeping the comments on here might give him a bit of tough luck, a kick where he needs it, and might actually start getting a bit grittier.

Just a thought? Maybe he might one day become good, instead of listening to you all say that he was unlucky, that everyone loses a game from time to time, that one day he will be in the top 100. Please, it's time for everyone to get a bit ruthless here.

I do think Alex needs a kick, and I think Brad is out or order thinking Alex might make top 40 when he may never even make the top 100. But if Brad is staying on to coach Alex until he does it, fair enough, but I somehow think he has probably gone back to the States now. I think Andy was absolutely right about more passion needed from Alex, and Alex should show some respect. If a top 5 player tells u to jump, then jump. We'll see how Alex gets on in Denmark this week. I just hope he is not in a downward spiral like Jamie Murray at the moment.

Alas, lost again. 1st round defeat. Nil Poinnts.  Boggo has to understand that if Andy gives advice, he should take it on board. And he should carry out any of Andy's advice. I also think Boggo should be on to the phone with Brad immediately to up-to-date advice.  Maybe website admin can confirm that, otherwise comments ar going to be low-key for quite a while.

A few thoughts on your comments Jono:

Boggo does respect Andy, however he can’t change his personality, he does not show much emotion on court, he never has and I doubt he will, it’s just not the way he is. I think Andy should perhaps show some more respect for his team mates but that’s another thing entirely.

Brad no longer coaches Alex, his contract with the LTA ended, as had been previously agreed, during the USO. However Alex is still in touch with Brad. He is also still in touch with Peter Lundgren and of course Paul Annacone at the LTA so he has been getting advice from all sides, but sometimes it takes time to get it all working. I hope he manages to do it, but of course I cant say for certain.

He will now head to the states for a few days break before a training week then heading to his next event, which I think is in Kentucky, and he may well stay in the state and play challengers there for the next few weeks to the end of the season. Hopefully the change of scenery will do him good.    .

I will certainly cross fingers for a good run up to Xmas, see if we can get a top 150 for start of new year. Still British No.2 cos Josh lost in 1st round too, and Alex appears much better than all the other Brits chasing Andy.

Alex will drop down this week as he was defending 21 points, but will still be ahead of josh by about 37 points. i also i think josh is defending more points till the end of the year.

its amazing when you think how inconsistent throughout the year boggo generally is that he is still quite far ahead of the rest of the brits.

as for the end of the year, i'd just like to see him winning matches again, i think 150 might be a step too far, he'd need about 75 rankings points for that. although if he can reach the final or win one of his upcoming events then its still possible.
although with his ranking dropping he has less chance of being seeded whihc makes it a bit tougher.
