| Hopefully one of the top 8 withdraws which will mean the Alex will be seeded and won't have to face the likes of Horna or Del Potro in the qualies [although I think he'd have a good chance against Horna who is an out and out clay-courter.] |

Alex should try to avoid Horna and Del Potro.
Horna's position -
He is third in the main draw alts. Coria is having a few mental issues and his season is over, so that's one place. Stepanek is an injury doubt and nothing is certain about his participation. There is an SE spot. And almost surely there will be a few unforeseen withdrawals. I'm pretty confident of seeing Horna in the main draw.
Others -
Michael Berrer will go behind Alex in the rankings if he loses to Robredo today. |

Berrer lost to Robredo so that should mean that Alex gets seeded.
I think Alex would beat Horna indoors, the Peruvian has been in poor form of late and he's a clay courter.
Del Potro would be really tough given his recent results, however, it looks like Alex will now be seeded so he will avoid him in the qualies. |

4 players will make it into the main draw yeah? so alex being the 8th seed he will have to face the either Bastl, Cakl, Labadze, Lisnard or any one of the WCs in the first round and another one of them in round 2 but what about the qualifying round? won't he have to face one of the seeds? the 6th seed right? _________________ If at first you don't succeed, you fail. |

I hadn't realised that only 4 players got through to the main draw.
There are only two qualifying rounds so Alex will face one of the top 4 seeds in the 2nd and final qualifying round. |

Alex has withdrawn from this tournament as due to reaching the latter stages of Mons, he's unable to play qualifying here.
He has decided to take a week off after Mons, and so hasn't accepted a special exemption place into the Rennes 50K challenger.
His next tournament will be the Kolding 50K+H challenger which begins on Monday 16th October. |
